This is a full time post made up of 10 programmed activities on a temporary basis for 3 months.Full GMC registration, eligible for inclusion or already on the Specialist GMC registers, Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrist. CCST in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. MRCPsych. Three years higher psychiatric training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and candidate is eligible for CCST in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Candidate will need to be section 12 Approved under the MHA Brief Summary: This post is permanent for 10 programmed activities. This makes it a full time post and the appointee will join Centenary CAMHS, a team of 15 multidisciplinary staff including a full time Consultant Psychiatrist and 0.55 speciality doctor and is jointly led by a consultant clinical psychologist and family therapist. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively as a senior clinician in the team leading on clinical developments with team leaders and in the wider service. The consultant will be expected to manage a case load of children with complex mental health problems, conduct assessments, participate in the running of the ADHD/ASD clinics with other members of the team, run psychopharmacology clinics and contribute to the general functioning of the team. The consultant will contribute to clinical governance, audit and training of medical and non-medical staff. The consultant will be based in Centenary House, one of 2 community CAMHS area based teams near the centre of Sheffield. The team provides service for the North West of the City and is served by good public transport. There is a new purpose built multimillion single site for Regional T4 services at Beighton. Sheffield is part of York and Humber training scheme and is accredited for training in child and adolescent psychiatry and has the capacity to train 4 core trainees and 4 higher trainees across the service.
