NHS CONSULTANT HISTOPATHOLOGY VACANCY

We are currently recruiting for a Consultant Histopathologist for our South Coast NHS client.

This is a replacement post and based out of a department which has recently undergone state of the art modernisation. The appointee will be expected to participate in clinical audit, CPD and in relevant quality assurance and proficiency testing. Consultants in the department participate in the Regional General Histopathology EQA, National Breast Screening EQA and other EQA related to their special interests.

Together with the agreement of Consultant colleagues, the appointee will be responsible for the provision of the routine frozen sections, histopathology and cytology service (no gynaecytlogy service at this Trust).

There will be an opportunity to perform post mortem examinations at the candidates discretion. The department does not provide an on-call/out-of-hours service. The department also takes part in and run various clinicopathology/multidisciplinary meetings and has a sterile services department.

Specialist Registration with the GMC is not essential however you must have or be near GMC registration.
