Senior Clinical Fellow Stroke Medicine - Herfordshire

NHS SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW STROKE SUBSTANTIVE VACANCY

We are recruiting a Senior Clinical Fellow in Stroke for a Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) in Hertfordshire on a 1 Year NHS Fixed Term Contract

When based on the HASU, the appointee will be responsible for the care of patients who are being initially assessed and monitored for acute stroke symptoms, supported by the 7 stroke consultants and 3 trust registrars and other junior doctors. Applicants must hold full GMC registration and licence to practice. Applications from those wishing to work part-time or job share welcome

The Stroke Ward provides care for patients who require ongoing therapy and medical intervention including rehabilitation and the appointee will continue to manage the care of these patients.

Recent £150m major facility investment includes a new Emergency Department, Cardiology Centre (includes 24/7 PPCI services), Scanning Centre, Chemotherapy unit, Endoscopy and theatre blocks.
