Our NHS client in Wales have appointed us to help recruit them a Urological Surgeon Consultant on either a Permanent or NHS Fixed Term basis. The NHS Fixed Term option is available for those not currently on the Specialist Register.

Our client are one of the largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health and acute hospital services for a population of around 676,000 people, employing around 16,500 staff and has a budget of around £1.4 billion. The successful appointee will be joining an existing team of 6 Consultants, 1 Associate Specialist & 4 Middle grade Urologists. The appointee will be joining a post with the aim of establishing a sustainable urology robotically assisted surgery cancer service, this appointee will be asked to participate in a 1:6 on-call rota.

Furthermore, the appointee will be asked to fulfil further responsibilities such as: Providing elective and emergency inpatient & outpatient services, to participate fully in current research and audit projects and to initiate projects, carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required and for contributing to and participating in postgraduate and continuing medical education activity and audit activities, assisting in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk management and quality improvement activities

Additional Information
- Excellent leadership within the team
- 10 PA's. Additional PA's negotiable.
- Experience in robotically assisted surgery would be essential
- Must have GMC Registration
- Excellent transport & motorway links to big cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol and even accessible to Ireland via Seaport
