Rheumatology Consultant

We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK help them recruit a Consultant Rheumatologist on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis.

The successful appointee will be joining where they'll be expecting the consultant to maintain the provision of excellence of Rheumatology care, adapting management pathways tailored to the needs of our client base and the locality we serve. This department is looking for a dynamic consultant who'll be expected to fulfil multiple expectations: whether it be developing a sub specialty to contribute to and complements the department and Trusts' service needs, working in a department of medical staff and a strong compliment of Rheumatology Nurses which includes five Nurse Specialists and a Skin Cancer Nurse position who deal with 3600 new patient referrals per annum & participation in multiple MDT meetings.

The appointee will be expected to undertake various duties such as: Provide teaching for Junior Doctors, Medical Students and other members of the multidisciplinary team, Undertake personal development and mandatory training, Support and participate in the Booked Appointment Systems, Take an interest in research/teaching with participation in projects and courses, Participate in clinical meetings and post graduate activities in the Trust, Work with managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of services & Developing and maintaining appropriate systems and practice to ensure effective clinical governance and audit.
