We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Stroke Medicine on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Stroke Department.

Our client are currently on the rise at this time, significant investment and development in the Trust, with work recently starting in the construction of a Radiotherapy Centre, which means that patients will no longer need to travel to further out for treatment. This represents a huge milestone for the Trust and, more importantly, improving levels of care for our patients. Additionally, we have been successful in securing £15m to improve urgent and emergency care at this trust by replacing the current Urgent Care Centre with a new Urgent Treatment Centre. This is in addition to our successful bid for £30m to expand and improve services as part of their Way Forward Programme. In fact, excellent improvement journey with regards to our Stroke Sentinel National Audit Programme (SSNAP). Investment in the Stroke service has seen our SSNAP performance improve considerable from Q1 19/20 where we were rated Level E to a consistent Level B SSNAP performing Trust.

The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various responsibilities when joining this trust, these include: participation in an out of hours consultant rota, responsibilities for carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties are required, and for contributing to undergraduate and post-graduate and continuing medical education activity, development of sub specialty interests that fit in with Division needs and the strategic direction of the Trust, Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care & Multidisciplinary team working is key component of the working within the Trust and involves regular MDT discussions with colleagues,
