We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Care of the Elderly on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful department.

The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, such as: to deliver high quality patient care in acute inpatient, outpatient and community settings as part of the wider multi-disciplinary Older Peoples Team, you will have dedicated in-patient ward responsibility, Support the service and Divisional Leads on the implementation and development of the Older Peoples agenda on behalf of the clinical team, Provide advice and leadership to the clinical team in relation to patient care, education and wellbeing, As a senior doctor within the Trust, participate in the development of medical services contributing to the development of strategy documents, undertake acute medicine on-call duties on a minimum of a 1:10 basis & to clinically and educationally supervise junior doctor trainees who will be supporting the care of your inpatients and to take part in regular clinical governance and audit.
