Orthopaedics / Locum Locally Employed Doctor (Higher)

Triple West Medical are seeking a Locum Locally Employed Doctor (higher) for a 6 months post with a NHS Trust who is one of the leading orthopaedic hospitals in the country, with some of the highest levels of staff and patient satisfaction, as well as a strong reputation for research and innovation.

The postholder will be allocated to a sub-specialty firm. The role is offers experience within that sub-specialty, covering a vacant higher specialist training post. Please note this is not an approved training post. Please note the post holder will be the only middle tier along with the other registrars allocated to the firm, some shared responsibilities and cover. There are no other junior doctors.

The hospital has six inpatient wards, including a private patient ward. There are eleven (laminar flow) operating theatres, including a short stay surgery unit and full out-patient and diagnostic facilities. The Trust provides a comprehensive range of Musculoskeletal services including orthopaedic surgery, spinal injuries, bone disorders and medicine, and as one of the UK's leading specialist hospitals, provides services on a local, regional and national basis.

The Surgeons are divided into the following units:
- Arthroplasty
- Spinal Surgery
- Musculoskeletal Oncology
- Knee and Sports Injuries
- Hand and Upper Limb
- Arthroplasty
- Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
