Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology - !2 Months FTC

Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the Essex region to help recruit an experienced Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for a Locum Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months min.

The Trust have over 10,000 staff offering comprehensive range of acute and community services over a number of sites to over 1 million people. You will have excellent clinical skills and the ability to lead on the shop floor. You will be expected to be active in the teaching and supervision of all multi-disciplinary staff.

This is a new post to achieve Ockendon and CQC standards within the unit. There is potential for this post to be made substantive at the end of the fixed term agreement, subject to the usual recruitment processes. The service is currently undergoing changes to the consultant rota to divide the Gynaecology emergency and labour ward on-call duties as per CQC and Ockendon requirements

Brief Duties/Responsibilities:

To provide ante-natal clinics
To provide general gynaecology service
To provide a service for 2ww and gynae-oncology patients
The candidate will be expected to cover every other Monday on call for Obstetrics and
Gynaecology and also prospective cover
The post holder will be expected to be actively involved in the clinical governance
aspects of the directorate and the trust including risk management and CNST
To take up leadership roles within the directorate and play an active role in the
operational and strategic management of the department
Provide leadership and participate in Clinical Audit programmes

Our NHS Client is happy to issue Certificate of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors. GMC registration and relevant experience is essential for this position.
