Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS organisation based in South Scotland to help recruit an experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for a substantive position.

The Opportunity…

Looking for dynamic, skilled clinicians who will thrive in a smaller, close-knit team and enjoy genuine autonomy in their practice.

These are full-time, 10-session consultant posts, each offering the chance to combine general obstetric and gynaecological work with a defined specialist interest:

Post 1: Gynaecological Surgery
Post 2: High-Risk Obstetrics

An interest in colposcopy would be especially welcome.

You'll be joining a dedicated department of seven consultants, four specialty doctors, three specialty trainees, and a skilled nursing and advanced practitioner workforce. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and committed to delivering safe, patient-centred care to women across the region.

Our department provides comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services, including:

- Infertility
- Gynaecological Oncology
- Colposcopy
- Menopause
- Vulval Disease
- Urogynaecology
- Maternal & Fetal Medicine
- Outpatient Operative Hysteroscopy

They are fully equipped for minimal access surgery and maintain close links with paediatrics and neonatology. The maternity wing includes six LDRP rooms, 12 maternity beds, and an annual delivery rate of around 1,200 births.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be GMC-registered with a licence to practise and either on, or within six months of entry to, the GMC Specialist Register.
