We're supporting a Health Board in South Wales, with the appointment of a Consultant Rheumatologist to join an established team of five Consultants delivering care to a population of over 400,000, either on a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis
Role Highlights:
• 10-session substantive/NHS Fixed Term Consultant contract (37.5 hours)
• No on-call commitment
• Mix of new and follow-up outpatient clinics, virtual clinics, ward referrals and SPA time
• Strong multidisciplinary team including Specialist Registrars and Rheumatology Specialist Nurses
• Dedicated SPA time with opportunities for teaching, audit and research
• Close links with academic institutions including the two major Universities in Wales
• Supportive Consultant Development Programme and mentoring available
• Relocation package available (where applicable)
The service operates across multiple hospital sites within the Health Board, with modern facilities and strong university partnerships. There is flexibility around job planning and an openness to candidates with subspecialty interests.
Appointment to this Consultant Rheumatology vacancy will be made as either Substantive or NHS Fixed Term, depending on whether the appointee has specialist registration with the GMC or not.
