Triple West Medical is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Consultant Oncologist specialising in Breast and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) cancers to join an expanding Oncology service with our NHS Client based in East of England.

Serving a population of over 300,000 working closely with regional NHS partners, this role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality cancer care locally while collaborating within a strong regional oncology network.

The Role

The successful candidate will act as Lead Medical Oncology Consultant for Breast and HPB malignancies, contributing to the continued development of the oncology service and supporting the multidisciplinary management of complex cancer pathways.
You will work within a friendly and supportive oncology team alongside experienced consultants, specialty doctors, registrars and a dedicated acute oncology service. Clinical activity will include outpatient clinics, MDT participation, inpatient ward rounds and chemotherapy prescribing, with the opportunity to shape service development in response to rising cancer referrals and advances in systemic therapies.

Department

The Oncology service operates within an integrated Cancer Care and Treatment Unit, including:
- A 12-chair Chemotherapy Suite with scalp-cooling facilities
- A 12-bedded Oncology and Haematology inpatient ward
- Dedicated outpatient clinic rooms and day treatment facilities
- A Cancer Wellbeing and Support Centre providing holistic support for patients and families

The NHS Trust has a strong reputation for clinical trials and research participation, working with the Regional Cancer Research Network and collaborating with leading centres such as Cambridge Cancer Centre and The Royal Marsden. Consultants are encouraged to participate in research and service innovation.

Education and Development

They are is committed to education and professional development. Consultants contribute to the teaching of medical students two major nearby universities as well as supporting specialty trainees and locally employed doctors.
The Trust supports consultants in leadership development and encourages applications for Fellowship of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management.
