We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in General Radiology on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Radiology department.


Our client are one of the best preforming Trusts in the country. Their Trust has been rated by the Care Quality Commission as 'Good' in all five of the main domains of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, giving an us overall rating of 'Good'. They've also been awarded an 'Outstanding' rating for 'use of resources' by an NHS Improvement inspection. Their facilities are some of the best in the country and they have been investing around £10 million a year in our estate. They are currently spending £25 million on expanding our adult and neonatal critical care facilities at the trust and redevelopment of their children's unit - in partnership with our charity, CW+ and generous donors.

The appointee will join an existing team of 36 radiologists and the radiologist team is supported by a full team of radiographic, nursing, managerial and support staff including administrative staff. The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties within the trust, these include: The department has achieved QSI accreditation and the post holder would be expected to help us continue to deliver the highest quality standards for imaging, participate in the on-call at the site on a 1:16 with a laptop with VR and a diagnostic monitor will be provided to enable remote reporting, they are in the process of building a new Acute Diagnostic Centre at their site and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to this exciting new development, Participate in clinical audit, governance, incident reporting and analysis and to ensure resulting actions are implemented & Participate in the recruitment and induction of junior medical staff as delegated by the Clinical Director/Service Lead along with potentially being responsible for on-going assessment and regular appraisal of all doctors in training.
